(Art 365) design for the WWW
Due date: DURING OUR FINAL EXAM TIME
Friday - May 13 - 12:30-2:30 pm
Wednesday class meets: May 16 (Monday) - 12:30-2:30 pm
Suggestions for your "Final Project":
- a "Self-Promotion" or Portfolio website
- a website about a specific project, or series of works
- "net.art"
* If you are doing a "Self-Promotional" website, then you should include at least 10 examples of your work, a resume or CV, and information about yourself.
* If you want to make "net.art", then make some original art exclusively for the internet. Unlike your other projects, the website does not need to have any text. Experiment! use things we've talked about in class, and/or do some research. Have fun, and try something you haven't done before. You can use JavaScript or Flash, anything goes. If you have difficulty focussing on one idea, then make more than one project.
Either way, all of the work included in the site should be original work by you.
*There should be an "Artist Statement".
This statement would describe your "net.art" project, OR the works that you are showcasing on your site.
1) All text & images must be original work, by you.
2) Include an "Artist Statement"
3) All pages should be clearly & neatly labeled with titles & headings.
Your grade will be determined by your ability to turn things in on time, and follow directions.
The grade for your finished project will be based on your attention to detail, and the overall look of the website.
All webpages designed for the site should have a consistent design or "feel".
All pages should be clearly labeled, have titles, and all the links should work.
Make sure your site is easy to navigate.
Your presentation will also affect your grade.
Good luck, and let me know if you have any questions.
