My name is Mia Flowers. I was born and raised in Silver Spring, MD. I am a senior here at Towson University studying graphic design. I chose this major because it was easier to say to my Mom that I wanted to be a graphic designer than just artist and I've always loved all art but I find creating art digitally is more fun for me. I am taking this class because it is a requirement but also seemed very interesting. All I really want to learn is how to make a good looking web page that I can hopefully use. In my spare time I like to travel, go to museums, watch movies and shows, and hangout with friends.
I enjoy creating different designs digitally and taking photos of my surroundings. The image at the top was a 11x17 poster I created for my graphic design 1 course. The assignment was to make a new product and create a package design for it. My idea was a burger joint that was also a record store, I called it Juicy Vinyls. As for the image at the bottom, I photographed an old abandoned shopping center in Baltimore for an assignment for photography. This was one of my best images and I chose to change it to black and white so you could really see the shadows the buildings created as the sun went down.
