Design, and build, an artist's website for yourself
Make a resume, or CV, with the same style of your website
Goals:
Make a great looking website, that works, and is easy to navigate
Things to think about:
Who's your audience?
What kind of work are you showcasing?
What is your color scheme?
What appropriate typefaces should you use?
Plan out how many works you will have on your site before you build it.
When presenting your project during the exam day, think about it as if you were going in for a job interview.
What do you want to say about your self and your work?
What questions should you be prepared to answer?
Requirements:
-your name, or identity, must be an image designed by you
-an index.html page
-a resumé (one on the website, and a .pdf version)
-a brief bio
-a page (or pages) with at least 10 examples of your artwork
-all artwork should be labeled with a title and brief description
-a page with your influences and any other links
-you must have links to all your projects for this class ( please include writing assignments)
Things you will turn in (in a folder):
-a CD, with your name (written with a Sharpie), that has your working website on it.
(all the linked pages, and all images)
-your sketches (including wire frames, and site structure)
-your resumé (printed)
Grading:
Your grade will be determined by your ability to turn things in on time, and follow directions.
The grade for your finished project will be based on your attention to detail, and the overall look of the website.
All webpages designed for the site should have a consistent design or "feel".
All pages should be clearly labeled, have titles, and all the links should work.
Make sure your site is easy to navigate.
Your presentation will also affect your grade.
