Let's look at examples of magazine covers (PRINT, SPIN, etc.)

Look for images that say, "No known restrictions".

image size (resample image, constrain proportions)

HOMEWORK:

bring in at least 4 different images of a place (preferably outdoors)
requirements:
-the images must be saved to a thumb drive or external hard drive (not on your camera).
-they must be high-resolution, or large images (approximately 1000 to 3000 pixels)
-approximately 300ppi
-try to find organic textures: tree bark, rocks, ocean waves, etc.
-the images don't need to be new, but they should be yours (or copyright free)

Next class:
-We will be using your images to start your 1st project.

-Ultimately you will be vectorizing your images
-The end result will look something like this screen print or these images
