NOTE:
This should not be a person, band, musical performer, celebrity, etc.
Please pick a broader topic such as a genre, a place, historical events, contemporary news, or a subject you are learning about. Almost anything goes

Things to think about:

- Who is your audience?
- What is the best way to present your topic of interest?
- How does your design relate to the subject matter?

Instructions:

- come up with an idea, write a paragraph or 2 about it
- save it as a .pdf file.
**draw site structure and wire frames
- Design and build an informative website based on your research.
- Using "Adobe XD", your final composition should be in an "iPhone" format.
- Feel free to use Photoshop or Illustrator, but project should be an "Adobe XD" prototype.

Requirements:

- You must use ( high quality ) images of your topic.

- Your project must be turned in by the due date
- As always, it must look good

* More importantly, make something that will look good in your portfolio

- Create a "Home" or "Index" page
- Create 3 more informative pages
*That's a total of at least 4 "smartphone" pages

HOMEWORK:

this week:
- come up with an idea, write a paragraph or 2 about it
- save it as a .pdf file
**draw site structure and wire frames
- start designing and building an informative website based on your research
- bring in materials to work in class, next week
next week:
- Keep working on the project

What you will turn in on the due date:

1) You will turn in a directory with:
- all images used in the site
- A .pdf file (a project description) - Your saved "Adobe XD" file

(I will copy the files to an external hard drive, so be prepared)
2) Turn in hard copies of your wireframe & site structure 3) You will present your work to the rest of the class

*NOTE: You will have the opportunity to improve your work after the due date.

Failure to turn in something on the due date will result in a 30% drop in the project grade.
In other words, you will not get more than a "C" grade for late work.
If you can not make it to class on the due date, to present your work, please email the professor with an explanation, and email what you completed to:
rtsmith@towson.edu

Grading:

Your grade will be determined by your ability to turn things in on time, and follow directions.
The grade for your finished project will be based on your attention to detail, and the overall look of the website.

All webpages designed for the site should have a consistent design or "feel".
All pages should be clearly labeled, have titles, and all the links should work.
Make sure your site is easy to navigate.
Your presentation will also affect your grade.

Good luck, and let me know if you have any questions.
