Assignment:

Using Adobe InDesign, design & create an instructional booklet.
Using Adobe Illustrator, create illustrations for your instructional booklet.
This booklet should have a cover, 1 spread, and your name typed on the back.
There should be at least 4 steps to your instructions.
You are required to have instructional text, and at least 4 original illustrations
Booklets should be folded in half & ready for presentation on the due date.
1 spread is the minimum. However, you can have as many pages as you want
(please, neatly staple if necessary)

Options:

The subject can be fun & entertaining, or mechanical & technical.
The instructional booklet can be about how to do an activity, how to build something, or how to use/operate something.

It can be black & white, grayscale, or you can use a limited color pallet.
Think about what kind of paper you want to use.
It can be as big as you want.


Timeline:

Week #10 (today)

get started:

brainstorm, think up multiple ideas, write them all down, save the ideas, share all the ideas w/ someone in class.

Start organizing your information.
How big is it going to be?
Start working on your illustrations.

Week #11 (next week)
We will look at the rough drafts
- Bring in Ai files, .indd files, and .pdf copies

Week #12 (April 16th)
Project Does NOT need to be mounted
However, it should be printed, folded, trimmed, and ready for display
