"PROJECT A"

due date:
Monday, Feb. 26, 2018
time: at the beginning of class

Assignment:
Using Adobe Illustrator, create an image using vector graphics.
This image should be an Illustration of a place (preferably outdoors).
The Illustration should include at least 3 lines of text, which describe the place.

Requirements:
- Save a Photoshop file (with more than 1 layer) as a rough draft
- Using Adobe Illustrator, create a composition with at least 4 different colors.
Note: These 4 colors should be flat colors, but feel free to add extra gradients.
- Make 3 additional compositions, with the same style, but different color schemes & different typefaces
(that's 4 comps total).

- Illustrator files should be CMYK
- Final composition should be mounted on a black board
(1 side of the board must be 20in.)
- Printed images should be at least 10in. on 1 side
(while mounting, you might want to use a calculator)

This week:
Create a rough draft of your project using Photoshop.
Then, using Adobe Illustrator, create a composition with at least 4 different colors.
Add some text (use more than 1 font size & color).
* We will look at these as a class (next week)

Next week:
(in class)

*Make 3 additional compositions, with the same style, but different color schemes & different typefaces.
*Save all 4 compositions as a .ai file, and a .pdf copy.

*Demonstrate mounting (buy black boards)

The following week
Pick 1 of the 4 compositions, and improve it.
* Print & Mount best composition
